Many have called him "The Father of Horticultogy", Luther Burbank spent the majority of his life devoted to plants. Through his relentless efforts to breed plants to help with the world's food supply, he has introduced many new species of plants. During his career, Burbank introduced more than 800 new varieties of plants -- including over 200 varieties of fruits, many vegetables, nuts and grains, and hundreds of ornamental flowers.

The Luther Burbank Home & Gardens offers tours to visitors to help them gain an understanding of the many great things Luther contributed to everyday life.
